I am Bohlale.
A storyteller, truth-seeker, and spiritual sojourner, writing from a quiet, heartfelt corner of Africa.
Born carrying the gift of insight, I walk with the questions and answers of my ancestors.
Over mountains and valleys, I gather stories, turning silence into understanding.
Holding the lamp of wisdom, I see beyond illusion, into the marrow of truth.
Lions guard my name—Bohlale ba Tau—for my wisdom carries the courage of their roar.
Among the people, I am a bridge, weaving memory and vision into one cloth.
Lessons flow through me like rivers, shaping me, teaching me to stand tall.
Every step I take affirms what my name means: wisdom, rooted, radiant, alive.
I created Lammas Online as a gentle space to reflect on life’s magic moments, the quiet, often overlooked experiences that reveal just how connected, loved, and alive we truly are.
Why I Started This Blog
My early life was unstructured and uncertain, shaped by the need to survive rather than thrive. I rarely paused to feel, reflect, or plan. But in my mid-20s, everything shifted. I found myself overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, and a deep inner ache—memories I had long buried began to resurface.
I was exhausted. Disconnected. Lost.
What saved me was a return to the now, to the magic moments I had always overlooked. A spontaneous smile from my daughter. An unexpected gift. A deep breath. A sunrise. Through journaling, spiritual practices, and deep inner work, I found presence again. I found myself.
And now, I share this journey with you.
I write not to impress,
but to invoke.
To stir the clay of memory,
and breathe life into ancestral vessels
long buried beneath silence.
I am the lion’s wisdom,
roaring through calabash echoes,
threading cloth with stories
that refuse to die.
My poems are not decoration.
They are ritual.
They are resistance.
They are the soft hands of healing
pressed against the cracked walls of forgetting.
Lammas.africa is my altar.
Here, I pour incense into clay bowls, sing in the language of my foremothers, and name each post a prayer.
I write for my children
so they may know the weight of sacred things,
the meaning behind names,
the power of intentional living.
I write for the continent so we may remember that we are not broken, only buried, and we are rising.
