What If You Don’t Wake Up?

Categories Magic Moments, Mindfulness Practice, Soulful PracticesPosted on

We often live as though tomorrow is guaranteed — as if our plans, dreams, and even our ordinary routines will naturally unfold. We set alarms, book appointments, and say, “I’ll do it tomorrow.” But the truth is: we don’t know if we’ll wake up.

We never actually know…
Until we do.

The moment between sleep and waking is so fragile, so sacred — and yet we rarely honor it. We roll over, check our phones, rush into the day. But waking up is not just a physical act. It’s a divine invitation — one more chance to be here.

What if we began each day with that awareness?

What if we let the uncertainty of tomorrow deepen our presence today?

What if we let gratitude saturate every breath, every conversation, every quiet morning with a steaming cup of tea?

I began asking myself this question not to be morbid, but to become more alive. To remember that this life is not owed to me — it’s gifted. And each morning, when my eyes open and the light filters into my room — that is grace. That is magic.

Affirmation: I cherish this breath. I welcome this moment. I honor today as a gift.

And so, I whisper thank you.
Even before I rise.
Even before I speak.
Because today — this breath, this body, this moment — is not promised.

Let us live like it matters.
Let us speak love while we still can.
Let us notice the small wonders — the warmth of our child’s laughter, the quiet strength of our hearts still beating.

Because we don’t know if we will wake up…
Until we do.

So tonight, before you close your eyes, take a moment to breathe in the beauty of now. Whisper a thank you for this moment, for this breath, for this life. Let your final thought be one of peace, presence, and profound gratitude—not because tomorrow is promised, but because this moment is here, and that’s more than enough.

And if you do wake up tomorrow, may you rise with softness in your heart and reverence for the quiet miracle of a new day.

Because the greatest miracle is this: you woke up.

With Love, Bohlale
